Replying to How to ski Cody Peak?

I'm currently living in Teton Village, don't have a mountain bike, and I am itching to get over to Cody and take some runs. I don't have a touring set-up (or the money for one), although I have considered swapping my fks 180's for some Marker dukes or buying day-makers.

I'm just curious about what the hike over to cody peak from the tram is like, how long it takes, and whether a touring set-up is 100% necessary or not. It looks like it would be possible to ski back close enough to the tram to boot-pack back up, but i'm not positive. I would appreciate some input, thanks!
