It is the owner talking about his love of the camp and how global warming is pretty much fucking over us from having fun even though up at whistler it was such a wicked year and it was but that airy snow doesn't compact well enough hate to see them go was skeptical of them declaring bankruptcy you know whole revision thing but I'm so glad he is refunding everyone!!! RIP TO CAMP OF CHAMPS you will be gladly missed in the ski industry and to Ken himself You had such a big impact to the game!!!!!

Super bummed.

Glaciers have been losing lots of size the last few years in the Canadian Rockies, I was hoping the Coastals would be doing better, I guess not.Ken is a class act about it though.

Goddamn fuck myself I blew over 3k on a condo in Whistler since I couldn't bring my car and didn't want to camp without it. No way momentum would let me just ski their park all day for the 5 sessions without their added bullshit right?

Well sounds like CoC is refunding everyone so you could use that money to buy a summer pass for public and poach momentum as much as you want. I've done it the last 2 summers and public is a good enough time that I've really only gone to the camps if I want to hit jumps.

I won't go into details but he hasnt had a good year. The camp has run through summers with much worse snow conditions than this one.

Do dig to ride at momentum, you do an hour or so work in the morning before the lane opens and get to ride all day. you just need to buy lift tickets

maybe no one was buying their stupidly overprices passes.

But a shame. If the snowpack improves I imagine someone will start up where they left off or Momentum will grow.

As with the majority of jobs in the ski industry - it's who you know more than what you know. The chances of you getting a job digging at Momentum in practically zero if you don't have anyone there to refer you. I'm sure there will be hundreds of people in the queue

Impossible at this point to get a digging job. But dig to ride you pay for a lift ticket and dig in the morning before the campers show up and get to ride the park. Then you help take down at the end of the day
