When do western resorts start hiring for the next season?

Planning to shred Alta next winter, would prefer to work at the mountain. When do the resorts usually start hiring for the coming season? I'm gonna try to get hired as a certified instructor or a liftie if that helps.

I applied all Summer. Went to a Vail Resorts Job Fair in Chicago then went out for Interviews in September. I had Job Offers for a couple different Resorts.

With Vail owned resorts, it's up in the air. While looking for summer seasonal jobs I've stumbled upon winter seasonal positions for the next year already posted and vise versa.

Contact the hr rep and ask if they will do a job fair for winter positions

If you already know where you wanna go or have a general idea, I would just start contacting some resorts already, shows motivation as well which is never a bad thing. Then you immediately know when to apply or maybe you already end up with a job offer now.
