Height adjustable fks 180 toe piece?

I was wondering on peoples thoughts on a 3d printed height adjustable toe piece for the fks 180. It seems to be the only high selling binding to lack this feature and have CAD experience and access to a 3d printer. I think this is doable, and the plastics used are extremely durable. I was thinking about making a 2 piece system with a ramp, and then tapping a hole to put a screw in to adjust height. Any idea on a good way to test the release safety of it?

what would be your reason to do this? to rock an AT boot?

Worn down boot toes cause there to be space under the boot and the binding in the toe.

Do you really need the din to go up to 18? If 14 is enough just get the height adjustable 140s

Cast makes an afd to work with wtf soles, grip walk toes work too but may not test depending on the machine. People with dedicated full rocker soles already have a diff downhill boot. Id say not worth the time.

I have my dins at like 12 usually but honestly switched from the 14's to the 18's cause they kept breaking

Personally, a plastic fks 18 toe gets rid of most of the incentive to use an 18 in the first place.

The official look fks 18 wtr afd, like the one sold by CAST is only specified to work with WTR boots, not just any ISO 9523 touring boot

Actually, if you have the rig, couldn't you just print an afd with the right stack height for the boot that you are using. You wouldn't even have to mess with the metal binding itself, just the plastic part that your boot sits on. You might want to incorporate a sliding afd so non traditional boots don't not slip out.

Also can you print me some old style(pre orange) ones?
