My buddy is building one with turf. Would orange lattice on top of the turf make a significant difference? The rail we will be using will be 10 feet long.

the orange stuff makes it nicer/faster. if you have some id say put it on the drop in. I will add that if you have broken/missing edge it may get caught in the orange lattice stuff.

The orange stuff is a cheap and Makes the drop in faster! Always a decent option.
Things to keep in mind however are it is slippery and weird so if you plan on dropping in switch, depending on the setup style it may be scary, and DO NOT have the slippery orange stuff on your takeoff.
Its great in run material but invest in MSnow or something similar for the last two feet. try to set and spin a takeoff while on slippery material will hurt you.
Speaking form experience.
Lastly, you can get the orange lattice fence in green which in my opinion looks better.
but that may add to the cost.

It works great but avoid putting it on the jump lip because then you can't set an edge for 270's on and it'll feel unnatural. If you want to spend a bit more money for something faster and more durable I would get the white plastic lattice that's used for fences.
