If you're going straight there its not a bitch at all. Really depends man I went through a pair of skis last season but its all about how you ski/what skis you have/how beaten up they are and don't forget about how beaten up the bindings could be too

I would bring 2 pair for sure if you're already bringing one. A lot of times you'll have some extra gear and keep riding your originals. I've def been places and had snapped the core, or fucked up the edge, and been glad I had extras.
How long is your trip for though? The shorter the less it's needed. You probably won't break them in a week if you've been riding them all season. But I still think it's nice to have backups.
I'm bringing 3 decks to ride this summer for 2.5 months. Last year I broke one worse than it was but stayed on it till the end of the season. Another time I had 2 for a slightly longer season, broke the first bad, and the second was pretty beat by the end.
If you're flying look at the baggage section and see where you can be at for weight, amount of bags, and make sure they have a decent ski gear policy.
To me it's worth it for the peace of mind and ease if anything were to happen.

I'd say 100% bring them.
Last year I traveled from Australia with my skis, in which I went to 4/5 different states from skiing (which included flying from each state).
I was so thankful that once I arrived in a different state I didn't have to hit up a ski rental place. Bringing your own skis just saves so much hassle (and money).
Even know you're only staying in Whis this is probably still applicable.

Whistler has a way to fuck your skis because everything is built so nice that you just throw down so much harder, bring a second pair
