I forgot to take them out of my bag last time I went skiing. I have them sitting on boot dryers as I type this but I have a feeling it won't work. Any tips for fresh smelling mitts?
All leather gloves/mitts eventually seem like they get to a point where they have some sort of permanent rotten smell. If they are made of anything else a run them in the washer will probably work. If you decide to wash your all leather mitts let me know how it goes. I have a pair I'm considering washing but I think that will be the end of them. Also with so much sno seal on them over the years I'm only considering a hand wash with the leather gloves since I don't want to ruin my washer and gloves in one shot.
i use those little balls that they make for shoe odor. Ill throw those in whatever gloves i use until the next time i ski. Helps dry them out and helps with the smell. Not sure if it just masks the smell or what, but my hands dont smell like they just came out of Amy Shumer's vagina
Mine rarely stink but I know what your talking about, what helps a lot is if you have those hangers just leave those on your wrists and ski super fast and the wind will air out your mitts. Or wash them then super spray them with water repellent.
My hands rarely sweat, so my gloves haven't ever started to smell. However I'd think washing them and then re-waterproofing them is the best option just like you'd do with outerwear.
