Hi all,
I pulled out my liner from first chair 10s the other day to help it dry and noticed I'm getting a rip along the outer ankle area on my right liner only after putting several days on them.
It appears the screw (t-nut?) from one of the buckles is just long enough that it's sticking out into the shell and chafing the outer surface of the liner when flexing my ankles. It's gotten to the point where the first layer has been ripped through already. I've contacted FT's customer service, but have a feeling providing extra screws is all they can do at this point. I'm pretty doubtful of this since feeling around, several other screws also seem to be jutting out a little (but hasn't been an issue since it's only the ankle area that moves and rubs against the screw).
Has anyone else experienced this issue? I'm not a handy man by any means, so any obvious tips are welcome. My last ditch plan is to just keep covering it with duct tape after every x amount of days...
We've had a good season in the Northwest so I'm planning on riding well into the summer, so I'm just trying to fix this before it becomes a bigger problem.
