Broken Reactor thread #9999

yyaya i kno anotehr broken reactor thread but i was too lazy to look up all the other ones.... i was wondering if anyone who had them had the little metal track that the heal piece rides on just striped right off the frame the binding still works the heal piece just has to be backed up all hte way and cant be brought forward at all...and if so is there any posibility they could be saved

Send them back for warranty. You didn't have them adjusted properly and the teeth that lock the heel into place stripped. This is what the problem is with a lot of these bindings. Not faulty product, improper user adjustment.

and what if i said a tech adjusted them for me? means i get my money back and lose prob some of the best time of the season waiting for them to come back in? fair...i think not

Then you should be able to demand a replacement from the shop you bought them at and not lose any time at all.

I didn't mean for it to seem I was implying you did it. I realize that my post my have read that way. There are a lot of techs out there who aren't careful enough when they mount bindings, the problem with reactors is that they aren't very forgiving for that type of thing.

ya i thoguth it was kinda cool the whole quickmont system and shit but...then they say u needa have them adjusted by a tech...doesnt that elimintae the whole 'quickmont' system...cause i sure as hell arent going to drive through 5 states to get my bindings adjusted.....reactors may possibly be the worse bindings ever created
1.) second day on them....brake part tears out and off the binding
2.) yesterday not even half way done the season...heal piece ripped off the frame.
3.) wonder whats next...

ya theres just too much gay 'tech' shit involved that if one piece gets damaged ur basically done the season with them and all hte shop owners at the closest hills around my area say that they havent seen a shittier binding in all of thier time working in shops

man they would proly just takle them off in 1 min in the shop and open up a new box and mount them on the spot nothing hard about it .. then they should sent the broken ones away and the shop will be payed back

You have the 'Quickmount' confused with the initial setup and adjustment.

Once the binding is setup and adjusted to your boot, the quickmount allows you to switch it from ski to ski.

I would say call Line and explain your case to customer service calmly. Let them know that you can't afford to drive all the way back to your place of purchase and you need the bindings warrantied. I'm sure that they will do whatever they can to help you.

Some kid was talking about how he got reactor 12's and gold chron's for $50 and how he was so stoked, then my friend was like 'that shit breaks easy'. A few minutes later he comes down and loses a ski coming off the lip. And no, his DIN is not set low.

the only two people at my hill that have reactors so far have both broken them on several ocasions... i have some old rozzi power 10 axials that ima put on there cause they are way more sturdy nad alot cheaper then the reactors....is that dee guy a rep or soemthing cause on all the threads of seen for reactors he has a gay explanation for everyhting?

your just the idiot that doesnt know how to tune your bindings, as long as they are set up right you will not have problems with them. you can be your own tech if you have a brain on your shoulders.

No I'm not a rep, check the profile. I like the binding. I've said a million places that I have ridden and still ride other bindings as well.

The explanations aren't gay either. You just don't like the fact that I don't stoop to the level of calling everyone a cocksucker or a fucking pussy for having their opinion. You also don't like the fact that I know more than you about the equipment and thought to share it.

Keep in mind you were the one looking for answers about your bindings, you went on an internet site crying about them asking for solutions. I provided them, you didn't like what I had to say so you called my answers gay and act like I have a hidden agenda.

holy fuck, for the last time, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to set the bindings. Forward pressure settings and toe hight/width, are very simmilar to that of an s912 binding. the bindings were adjusted properly. That being besides the point, of coarse, because it wasn't even a pre release or toe piece problem, it was the metal track they sit on.
