I think they are just called the "Freedom" Pant now, they dropped they Hyvent part from the name. I have owned a pair and can say they did hold up well for 4 seasons, I just replaced them because I wanted something different.

I eventually figured it out. Kinda salty how their 2017 model is sold out in anything brown. I have a pair of $40 kohles pants right now so I am gonna make sure I get the color I want if I am going to spend the money.

EVO has some of the insulated and non insulated versions, they have a few different colors but looks like the sizes have been pretty picked through as the mediums are completely gone.

I've had several pairs of TNF pants over the years and I can tell you they are the best fitting, best quality, and most durable pants I've owned. I've had everything from the older HyVent model, to the Slasher Cargo, to the NFZ GorTex pant. HyVent is referring to their material they use for the garment, much like GorTex. I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever pair you get. Side note, next years color ways are pretty cool

Hyvent is just what TNF calls the tech fabric that they use. It's not all the same they have Hyvent Hyvent 2.0 Hyvent 2.5 and lord knows how many other variations. Pretty much if it isn't gore-tex or some other brand of fabric they call it Hyvent.
That being said I have also had pretty good luck with TNF ski pants that I have bought at the TNF outlet in Woodburn. My wife and I both have a couple of pairs that have each lasted several seasons. Don't know the names of any of them except my bibs which I'm pretty sure are called Anchor bibs. Still get edge cuts. TNF sells off tons of their gear at huge discounts so I'd look for a deal.
