Skiing high and or drunk

What is it like skiing high or drunk? Does it help you progress and booste confidence or does it make you want to get off the slopes? What types of alchohol are best for skiing? And what is it like skiing after smoking a joint?

Skiing after some vodka was a rough time. Every time I would try and turn after getting off the lift I would just fall over. Also I slipped in the bathroom and bruised my elbow pretty bad. It was still a pretty fun time tho, definitely one for the memory books.

The only time I enjoy skiing drunk is on a hot spring day when I'm just fucking around. Alcohol kills all my balance so I'm not a huge fan.

Weed hypes me up and makes me want to try some rowdy shit. But I get super tired after a few laps. If you can handle yourself, skiing high with some music on is insanely fun.

I was skiing all day in late spring last year. My friend and I had to go to an even thingy at an after ski bar on the slopes so we go. We get there after having wicked up from the bot of the run as it was at like 5 and the lifts didn't let you go on anymore. we get there completely sweaty and with all of our ski gear ( we had been touring). our friends had already gotten drinks, we had about 7 liter of Spritz. we star drinking and it immediately hit us (basically drinking on empty stomach as we had no time to eat, slush was just so nice). by 6;30 we are completely drunk. our friends leave at about 7 to go and get ready for inner, and at this point we still had about 2 later left in the big tub of spritz. so we go over to a table full of ski skiers and start drinking with them and get even more drunk. at about 8 we decide to ski down. MY GOD I WAS DRUNK. tried putting my skis on for a solid five minutes, to realise that i was putting them on backwards (twin tips + dark+ alcohol) so after i manage to i start skiing nd its quite normal, like the alcohol doesnt really influence, plus i didn't have to ski that much, at the end of the run i realize I'm going way too fast, get sideways to slide but being drunk I'm off balance, catch an edge and EAT SHIT. end of the day i had fun, tried t put skis on backward, made new friends and bruise my whole shoulder, would do it again at the end of a good ski day

I'll have a beer and a j in the lot before hitting the lift if I'm just gonna be cruising around the resort all day. If I'm doing anything that requires a hike though I'll skip the beer for sure.

I usually have to warm up for a good hour before piffing if i go up early, but usually bring like 2 doobs for 4-5 hours of skiing. On a sunny day that was perfect for park laps, burn one after an hour of warming up and then the last one 2 hours later, always had a good snack, and always drank water, especially on hot days or else id be burnt out after the 6th run.

With the homies to get hyped up it benefits me but even alone like all of this season it made me try some new stuff but mainly just helped me style stuff out on rails and even on bigger jumps it was fun to float simple tricks and tweak then out. Even competing stoned in the past has helped keep me calm but still focused, but there was more hyping up with that.

would recommend, beer is fun but limiting, you can dick around stoned but also be able to perform.

Don't ski drunk. You'll just eat shit constantly. Skiing high tho is a great time. Def would recommend.

skiboots + drunk is not always fun but once Im clicked in I usually dont have problems unless I try to hit jumps.

kush makes it feel flowy I'd say. Its defintely because you are more conscious of things that you normally don't notice when you are sober.

I miss when you could have mandatory department safety meetings and drink a few on the clock at events.

Drugs and booze are bad though op. Straight edge is the only way.

I get superrrrr hyped, energetic and social and down right goofy/sendy. I never land anything. I get trashed and when I stop I fall over. IMO best time ever though. Sets a very fun vibe. Its really fun if you find the sweet spot where you get in that mood but still can somewhat ski and send without dying.

I skied high about every day I was on the mountain this year. Although its fun as fuck it made me progress much slower. When I took a day off of smoking and skied sober I noticed how much more I progressed in such a short amount of time. I ended up saying fuck it and kept skiing high every day.

I did too and it was always fun but I never really progressed beyond what I already know really. I could take it to bigger stuff and maybe make it look better but having a crew helps. Last year was my first year of burning on snow a lot and we were always filming with the homies so that was helpful, it's still nice to at least toss for a few hours before going to a spot for a safety meeting then taking it a little more mellow after.

honestly you cant really beat getting slightly cheeched and skiing on a sunny spring day. That being said, i cant really say that ive learned any new tricks while under the influence. Its always a good time though

There are some pros and cons on both sides...

Skiing drunk
+ Its like learning to ski all over again
+ People are cool with drinking on the hills
+ Much easier to drink beer on the chair in the wind
- No cardio endurance after drinking
- Gonna share that crunk
- Smell like brewery and the smell doesnt leave
- really expensive
-coming down sucks
- Worry about driving home... drunk driving is off the charts in stupidity

Skiing high
+ I get hyper stoked about skiing
+ Pain is not a problem
+ Sharing weed with others is awesome... especially with old riders
+ Waiting in line ups and riding the chairlift is far more interesting
+ The body temperature regulation is better
+ even rainy days more fun
- rolling a doob is difficult in the wind...

Always fun being baked in the lift line surrounded by ridiculous looking jerrys. Only downside is people shaming you for stinking, at least I'm not loud and drunk being an idiot in line, I'm just quiet and observant.

Damn I wish I could get that feeling from weed. Smoking always seem to increase my anxiety, its tolerable off the hill but its almost too much for skiing park. Every risk becomes way more obvious and I just turn into this giant pussy.

If I want to feel rowdy and shit, alcohol, no question.
