Need some help for ski trip plz

Some friends and I are planning a road trip for next winter (30 dec 2017-19 jan 2018) and are renting an RV to sleep in. We plan to ski Lake Tahoe (heavenly, northstar, kirkwood) and park city.
Does anyone know how is the rv situation at these resorts? is there free spots to sleep or do we have to pay to park and sleep? If this is the case can u give us an idea of how much is it?

My home resort in Washington has free overnight parking, I went up almost every weekend and stayed the night in the ski school I worked for. I think most resorts have free overnight parking, I'd look ahead and call first though because I would bet RV parks near resorts like those might be pretty full.

You're not gonna find a place to park your rv in park city, maybe walmart in kimball junction...

Wal-marts all let you park for free, but no hook ups. There is a wal-mart at kimball junction just outside park city you could hit. There's also an RV park in the same area if you want to get ritzy for a night and dump your shitter.

Resorts, especially those bigger corporate resorts, generally won't let you sleep in the lot. Worth a call to their office though.

thanks for the quick responses. I had heard that walmart had that policy and we intend to take advantage of it. Does anybody know how much is worth a night at an rv parking place? (I have absolutely no idea how they are called since we dont have that her in chile).

But there´s no problem if I sleep at walmart and drive to PC and park the rv there for the day while im skiing, is it?

Nope that would be free, I've seen short buses and RVs there sitting in the back of the lot, just make sure you get there around open to secure yourself a spot back there otherwise it fills up quickly. There's also a lot free lots a few blocks from the hill you could park at for the day I believe. People who are locals could help you more, I've only been a few times to PC.

Of course 4wd is better in the snow, but is it really necesary? A 4wd rv is much more expensive to rent.

i mean its up to you really but you are gonna be driving around in possibly some really snowy weather so take that into consideration.
