Binding adjustments on Kartel. Help needed!!!

Whatsup NS, I just bought a pair of ON3P K98 DEMOS with Tyrolla Attack 13 bindings. The guy from ON3P said they are mounted at the recommended line and fit for someone with at 27.5 boot size. I have a 29.5 boot and I was wondering by having a larger boot would that force me further back from the recommended line by having to adjust the heel back to fit properly.

The guy was saying that the toe piece can be adjusted FORWARD and the back piece BACKWARD so the center on my foot will still be on the recommended line.

Can anyone provide some clarity who's very experienced with bindings as to what my options are? Ideally I would like to be on the recommended line or even more forward.... not more back on the ski because of my boot size.

The difference can't be more than a cm or 2 since it's only 2 sizes, and if they are demo bindings they are made to be adjusted just take em to a shop, shop will charge for an adjustment or do it for free, but trust me you don't want to adjust them yourself unless you're experienced, bindings aren't something to mess with.Could be the difference between a broken leg or not. Trust me tho you'll love em where ever they are mounted they are a blast to ride

Just take them to the shop and get a function check done with YOUR boots. It should only cost like 20 bucks.

The attack bindings adjust extremely easy and any ski shop can do that for you.

You will also still be over recommended mounting position on the ski as both the toe and heel moves to make sure the midsole of the boot doesn't have to.

Since both parts are easily adjustable would it be possible to adjust the binding so the midsole is actually in front of the recommended line slightly? Or is that not recommended since it's mounted to be right on the line. Thanks all!

This is what I'm concerned about... not sure your info is accurate however according to everyone else. I do not want to be a cm or 2 behind recommended, if anything I'd like to be a cm or 2 more Forward.

it depends on how much adjustment room you have on the toepiece. I have no experience with the tyrolia demo bindings but for example:
You need about another 2cm (i dont know your BSL or the previous BSL but it should be around there) so you can set your toe 1cm forward and the heel 1cm back to stay on the recommended line.
Or you can move the toe 2 cm forward and leave the heel to be 1 cm forward of the recommended line.

If you cant figure it out, take it to the shop to get them to set it up. You definitely should get the shop to set up the forward pressure properly if you don't know how.

Nope. Not unless you have a really small boot. You can get kind close by messing with it, I think I got to -1, but the problem is they don't really have great forward pressure at that point cause it's not a point that it was designed to match up.

OP, like Powtron said, the Tyrolia demo bindings are super easy to use. They adjust to fit virtually any boot sole length without changing the mounting point on the ski. Any shop should be able to handle it with ease (honestly, a good shop wouldn't even charge you...it takes literally 4 seconds to adjust them, but they still might.) I hope you enjoy the skis though, the K98s are one of my absolute favorite skis ever.
