What do you do with your old skis?

I've been keeping my old park skis throughout the years and I'm not sure exactly what I would like to do with them in terms of decoration. They have sentimental value and I am not getting rid of them. I'd like to see pictures of what others have come up with.

-Hanging them up on a wall
-Cutting them up and making a chair or bench
-Turning them into a "shot-ski"
-Encorporating them into headboards for your bed
-coffee table

Hang them on the wall of your gear room, add more skis as time goes on.

I either give them away, or I sell them at the ski swap for dirt cheap in the fall. Skis take up too much space to hold onto for sentimental value, and someone out there could really make use of them as long as they are in reasonable shape and not from the 90's or something.

Some people make them into shelves, if they are wide enough you could do that.

That looks really nice! If I go that route I would put an extra pair in for the arm rests I think.

-what did you use to cut the skis?
-did you use screws or bolts to fasten the skis to the chair?

That is sweet! I like the bottle caps too, I've got a shitload of those laying around I've been wanted to use for something!

Usually become rock skis and I slap whatever bindings I can find as long as they go up to 11 or 12

It's actually very comfortable. It went through fairly extensive "sit testing" before making final cuts on the skis for the seat. I was initially worried that it wouldn't be comfortable aswell. The tips taper off at just the right spot

I've done few things with old skis. I do the NS Fantasy league and they came up with having a loser shotski trophy, so my wife and I painted up a ski into like green gridiron and some other bullshit and made a shotski for the league.

Another pair I painted straight white and had people sign it like a guest book at our engagement party.

One pair I used as like a Guinea Pig set for mounting bindings without a jig.

But honestly the old skis that I have sold I have regretted because the day comes when you want to ride them again... Assuming they aren't snapped in half or something. You gotta hang onto your gear and build your collection, that's my two cents.

I ride them until they snap or the edge is irreparable. Then they go in the pile for a chair or bench. I've got enough for one, just need to get around to it.

i sell them if they are good enough to sell, but with those that are in crap condition, i've made a few shelves, wall mounting etc, and ski bikes
i now have a matching pair of ski bikes using dynaster huge troubles i picked up for $2
