Editing Software

Davinci Resolve...... It's free, there is a version of it you pay for but you are just missing out on a few different things, some effects and noise reduction but the free version is very good and the cross over between other software isn't that drastic.

I use premiere mainly because of my job but I color correct/grade in Resolve.

Premiere is the top of the line software, the whole suite that comes with lightroom, photoshop, after effects, premiere, exct. costs me like 20$ a month (college student) and its just an epic software package. It has a decent learning curve but way worth it.

Final Cut Pro is pretty good as well, I tried it for a while but like premiere better..haven't used it in a few years maybe its better now who knows?

hard no, final cut is barely a step up from imovie at this point

G-Bolaso i have started filming this year, and I have mainly been editing with imovie cause its free and easy to you. looking to take editing to the next step. looking for a more advanced software than imovie thats rather cheap and pretty easy to use because im still a beginer. and what is the best way to learn to use a new software?

DAVINCI RESOLVE 14 beta, the full version is now only 300 bucks as well. It's smooth when editing anything 1080 but struggles a bit with 4K footage but for being either free or 300 bucks it can't be beat. Blackmagic is stepping up their game and if you are looking for a very good free software this is it.

You can easily download a lot of editing software for free safely. Just look up "How to download *insert software here* for free" on YouTube, click the one with the highest amount of views/likes, and follow the steps.

My personal favorite is Sony Vegas Pro, mostly because I find it generally easy to use, and has nice controls/shortcuts, but I think that's because I'm used to it. Adobe Premiere is nice because After Effects and such is integrates nicely with it, but when I tried to switch, I couldn't stand the controls and shortcuts (I know you can change shortcuts, but it's just a lil' annoying).
