Title says it all, I know that faction switched to poplar cores a few years back after the balsa ones snapped a bunch. Just wondering how durable the ski is with the new poplar core.

I've skied mine for 2 seasons and the edges are the only problem I've had.

IMO they are pretty decent, but id personally never buy them full price. They chip and get beat up a bit, but since they've switched cores they are a lot less prone to snapping, and the sidewalls look decent. One issue I would have is the edge size (not as big as most park skis). Ive only rode one like half a lap on a friends so I don't actually know how well they ride all around, but they felt nice initially. Id say go for it on a good price.
