Should I go to Regis University?

Have you already been accepted and are looking to go this year? If so, where else have you been accepted?

Also, how the hell can't you afford to visit? If you can afford to ski, you can afford to visit a place you may spend four years of your life setting yourself up for your entire future. We're talking a few hundred bucks, maybe $1,500 at VERY most to visit. Tuition alone is in excess of $30K.

Yeah I've been accepted, and they're giving me a pretty good deal too with financial aid and everything it'll be marginally more than $15k a year. And if I had $1,500 laying around that I could pull out of my ass to go visit I wouldn't have made this thread, cause I wouldn't think twice to go. I wanna know if it'll be worth the extra money compared to Plattsburgh where I already got accepted ($7k) rn it's just between Plattsburgh and Regis for me.

P.S not everyone on here is rich just because they ski. I pay $400 a year to ski and work my ass off to afford everything that goes with that while trying keep my grades up. I'm not looking for simpathy, but I'm not one of the rich kids on here who's parents handed them everything growing up on a mountside chalet out west.

No they're not, I had an hour long conversation with w financial aid dude about it. It's the biggest bullshit thing ever. It's free for a very very small hand full of people because it subtracts your Pell Grant and your tap Grant along with all other scholarships. If I were to apply for this new excelsior bullshit grant I would be paying more for school than I am now. It's a political move just to look good. And as good as free college sounds, it's far from free.

Sounds like you work hard for your money. Keep in mind if your gonna fly back for thanksgiving, christmas and summer the price of the flights will add up. coming from a student who has been paying back loans for 5 years now i would say do 2 years at suny school(make sure credits are transferrable) and then and then consider a transfer to a school with a stronger department in your major. I'm sure rent around denver isn't that cheap either.

I looked at Regis during my college search, decided against it for a variety of reasons, mostly the extremely small size and they didn't have a program I was looking for.

I have a few friends that go there and all love it. If you like a small school with a tight-knit community it could be a good fit. It's also not too far from skiing, probably like 2 hours depending on traffic to Summit County.

What are you looking to study? I don't know much about Regis but I went to Pitt and absolutely loved my time there.
