Anybody Have Any Skis They Don't Want? (I have an idea to grow the sport)

So I'm heading back to Africa this summer to build a park and snowboard. I've talked about Afriski on here a bit. Pretty much everyone that rides park there is on a snowboard. (Basically one skier)

I was thinking about bringing a few pair of skis down there to keep in the clubhouse as loaners. Maybe get a few people to try it out and take a liking to it. A couple of us rented some regular skis last year and had some fun messing around.

I'm going to head straight from the airport to the mountain when I get down there so it wouldn't kill me if I brought an extra ski bag.

Anyway this is just a feeler to see if there is any interest. I was thinking about it last year but wasn't sure the logistics. I'll have to check what I'm allowed to bring for baggage but I don't think bringing a second bag would be a problem, and I'm alright with paying the extra bag or overweight fees on it.

i have a pair of the original rossi scratches, 180cm, at my dad's but i don't know if i'll visit him any time soon. when do you leave?

Cool. My best friend is living in ZA right now. Kinda looked like one of the resorts down there.

Word. That would be epic. I have to figure out how much stuff I'll be able to bring weight wise. I should be booking a plane ticket and figuring some stuff out soon though.

I just booked a flight finally and got back to stable intrawebs.

I'm flying out of Philly on the 31st. If anyone in the northeast is down I'm still thinking of doing this. I can drive and meet people pretty much anywhere in the northeast.

My bad for taking so long to get back on this.

Word word. Good to hear you got everything all figured out. You're gonna have a blast down there man! They've already been getting some snow. Hopefully you get to shred some African pow this season!

im visiting my dad this weekend and could grab two pairs of binder-less skis (180cm OG scratches and year ~2000 line skogens 176cm) to bring back to boston with me

i can offer pretty much nothing in terms of time or money to get them to you, but you said youre gonna be around the NE and i thought i might as well throw out the idea for you. PM me if youre interested, thanks
