Sorry to be another guy coming here with the "what camera?" thread but i could use some advice on the matter. For a few months now I've been considering what a good beginning camera would be considering im interested in photography/videography. I've done a bit of research already and have been looking at the rebel t6i, the 80D, and the gh4 considering their price range and comparing specs. I believe my focus would be video primarily but I'm just looking for a decent beginner DSLR overall. Any help at all you guys can provide would be much appreciated:)
Buy the cheapest DSLR you can get with a kit lens, 18-55. Learn it, shoot as much as possible and just keep shooting. If you could find an older rebel like t2i to t4i for cheap I would get that instead of any of the newer ones.
Once you feel you have out grown the lens pick up a new one higher end, whatever suites your needs. Build up your lens collection with high end equipment, this is better than buying newer camera bodies, when you feel your camera body isn't enough then spend the funds on a new one.
Camera technology doesn't advance that quickly so putting money into your lenses is most important.
