Mt. Hood Hype Thread

What up my doods, just making a thread to talk about Hood for the summer like trips or jobs or whatever. Like for myself, I'm working at Windells and just super stoked. Also, know how much snow they got this year?

Hey people, I will be at hood soon, hyped as always. I know that the public park is on the palmer now, but what kind of features do we have? Any vert? How many jumps? Just looking for an update from someone "on the inside". Soo hyped.

theres two jumps are the top, second bigger than the first - then theres two hip hits into each side of a super short half pipe - then a section of about 7 rails which leads into a stunt ditch type area with a few more features in it. Theres a bit of variation in rail type too so thats cool. But throughout the summer i've noticed they do change out rail features pretty often which is nice

I saw something today about the half pipe on mile being under construction on a daily report print out? So theres something coming along with that potentially?

Even if the Leprechaun Sissy (LS) knew about construction, the LS wouldn't tell.

Do you have to hike out of the Palmer park or can you ski straight back to the lift no problem? Also, how much public lane is open up there other than the park?

The exit to the park spits you out right at the Palmer lift, there's no hiking involved unless you're trying to get off the mountain back to the lodge. There's a bunch of open terrain to ski besides the park. Some days more than others, it depends how the race camps set up or if they left for the day yet.

Just got back from a few days riding public at hood. It took a few laps to remember how to ride real jumps again. The public park was super fun, and just an awesome vibe all around. I probably rode the lift with some of you, if you saw a guy with green pants, black hoodie, and a pair of kartel 108s, that was me.

Windells lane was tight but public park was soooooooo sick. Everything gets slower in the afternoon but still such a blast

rode public park a bunch last week and it was pretty tight butthole. jumps are primo. but it sucks a little when they open the park an hour late into a 4 hour day. $90CDN for 3 hours of park laps is pretty fucked up
