theabortionatorDigger jobs can be pretty tough from what I hear. I've never worked there but some of my friends have. I'm friends with the Caleb and a couple other guys on the grooming/park grooming fleet.
I applied for High Cascade in like 2012 but never heard back. I was kind of bummed because it was a hand written and decently long application.
That said you seem pretty open to anything that'll get you out there. Generally that's the best chance you have with a mountain. I doubt you can apply completely generally but maybe mention in your app that you're a hard worker and will work literally any job they have open if your primaries aren't available.
Place seems dope though. I definitely want to do a summer over there eventually.
DeepskierI feel that I wrote a ton for my windells application and I emailed them and they said that sucks we dont hire minors, try being a camper though! Pissed me off cause I could do the same quality work and even offered to work for free and just stay there and ski, but they just told me try being a camper! I have it was way overpriced and only fun because the other kids. Sucks.
theabortionatorIt's understandable. It seems as though they want people who could be a camp counselor sort of in the different positions. Haven't people 18+ that can manage that probably helps parents concern and keeps people dropping $$$.
I was gonna apply to windells but I was super busy working and never filmed and I needed a 1 minute current edit.
Place is probably dope though. One day, one day.
DeepskierAs a counsler I get it, but outside of that where's the problem?
theabortionatorIdk. Pretty much everywhere is 19+ for parks. I think almost everywhere is for lifts. Wouldn't be surprised if some places are 18+ across the board for any outside winter ops. Idk though.
Idk., I don't work for them so who knows. Tell them to hire you or you'll kill them all.
jakelewiskiIt is very easy to get a job at T-Line. They have applications open on their website right now actually. Looks like you could be a server/line cook at any one of their restaurants. I was a line cook at Black Iron (now called Wy'East). It's a pretty easy gig and they're flexible with hours.
Don't expect to make it back home with any money if you actually want to ski. Consider yourself lucky to break even.
DeepskierAs a counsler I get it, but outside of that where's the problem?
MinggYou'd be living in employee housing which is a huge liability for underage kids/minors.
Deepskiermeh one 16 year old? It just doesn't sell it to me.
MinggI mean, camp policy is camp policy. I'm sorry!
