young_hawaiiThere is a screw underneath the front of the binding by the hinge you should be able to fit any boot, touring 9523norm or alpine and have the sliding add still work. But yeah when you put in the boot you should be able to slide a business card or so underneath
still different boots have different sole lengths so you'll want to double check that fp in the heel
CaseyIs just weird to me that there isn't something on Markers website that says how it's designed to fit, there's a lot of different types of business cards out there

GnarcoIts incorrect that you should be able to slide a card underneath the boot. You need a .5mm gap. Companies have cards they want techs to use. You put the card on the AFD, then click the boot in. You shouldnt be able to slide the card back and forth with the boot in. The correct way is to be able to pull the card out with a little force, but not be able to slide the card back in once its out. If the card rips its way to tight. If youve never been trained to do it, I wouldnt recommend doing it.
CaseyWhy that sounds incredibly simple.
GnarcoIt is quite simple. And for Marker, every new binding comes with two Toe Height Adjustment cards for adjusting them. Just know that if you touch them, you assume 100% liability for your knees or any injury you get. If you have a cool shop around, see if a tech would demonstrate to you how to do it
CaseyThat's the main reason I took to the internet. I worked in a shop way back when but that was before the Duke existed. The shop by my house charged 60 dollars to mount them and will probably charge me another 25 for fifteen seconds of screw driver work. I am not going back there unless I have to they are uppity.
GnarcoIf they mounted the bindings, they should have set the toe height before allowing the skis to leave the shop. Id go back and get them to do it for free. If they didnt set the toe height after mounting the binding, the shop is making it very easy for someone to sue them for injury. If they wouldnt do it for free after mounting them, then they are a bad shop
