Replying to Having trouble with women
I didn't really have a very close relationship with my family but when i was about 19 or 20 i was doing construction on a construction site (i was picking up garbage) basically i was a glorified gooper, it was me literally picking up trash and sweeping shit, and i was making like 8 dollars and hour. My dad said to me around that time, that i was going to have trouble with women and i was like why.
Basically he told me that he was married to my mum, and i was raised by my mum, and that there are going to be issues. So my dad said that he was going to pay for a shrink and he was going to pay for half and i was going to pay for half. Now it is insane to think that when i was making 8 dollars and hour and i was sitting down with this women in Beverly Hills making 100 dollars an hour, it was literally 5 hours for me to sit down with this women to talk to this women about my problems.
My dad basically told me that i need to sit down with a women and establish a relationship with a women that is a good solid relationship. It wasn't so much the information that i was going to get for her, much it was more about the relationship with her.
I was told at a young age that i had never had a positive, consistent relationship with something that has a vagina, and my dad told me that i needed to have that.
i look at therapy as a multivitamin, people ask me does it work does it not work? Do you feel different after taking a multivitamin or are you just being active in your health and are participating. The point is you should take that multivitamin, half of therapy is you physically going to therapy and showing up to it and being active in your health
anyone else experience a similar thing when they don't have close relationships with mothers, sisters, other women?
