Atomic Infamous is a piece of sh*t

A little over a year ago I bought the Atomic Infamous ski. I think I've had a little over 30 days on this ski. Last week, while doing a casual nose butter, this piece of shit snapped completely at the toe piece. I ended up eating shit. I am aware of the fact that this is a cheap ski, but this shouldn't happen right? I added pictures for clarification.
I am doing a warranty claim now, but I'm a bit afraid they won't refund or repair anything as the skis have edge damage from rails (obviously), although that has nothing to do with this issue. Any thoughts?

Sorry your broke you skis, seems like you beat them up in the park and then broke them doing a trick, so I am not sure warranty applies here (especially after 1 year), but what do you have to lose right? May as well try for it, be polite, don't give too many details, and don't be surprised if they turn you down.

On another note, is it just the angle of the picture, or is there barely any wood core in that ski? Looks like it is mostly sidewall and topsheet.

The skis perform fine but the durability on them makes them really blow. Major delamming on sidewalls after maybe 15-20 days for me. Obviously nothing compared to ur situation, possibly they'll replace it under a manufacture defect ?? Sorry bro

Unfortunately is your case not a warranty claim. This is a normal ski break/ crack.
We can give you a special price for a new ski.

It's the most silly wooden paint stick ever put in a ski, and I think the only reason it's in there, is to claim the ski has a 'wooden' core.

I made some more pictures. Atomic advertises this ski as having a 'lightweight laminated poplar core', see for yourself. The whole ski is made up of foam.

also weird is the location of the snap. Weird for a ski to break right under the toe piece. i would have expected it to be more in the nose where its flexing more and isnt as stiff

I think the load is the biggest right under the toepiece, because this is were you build up pressure on the skis, just my thoughts though. I facebooked Atomic about the issue as well but unfortunately there is nothing they will do, apart from offering me a good price on a new pair, which I obviously don't want.

ive been thinking about that to and what you said also makes sense. Ive also never seen a ski snap that way, also the toe piece seems like it would stop the ski from flexing. either way that sucks. Ive heard bad things about the infamous. good luck getting your situation resolved!
