So I messed up big time and forgot to back up an sd card and accidentally formatted it as I had a little mix up with my unlabeled cards (lesson learned) and lost some footage that is crucial to a current project and cannot be re-shot easily at all.
I tried out some software from wondershare which shows the files exist but when I ran a recovery it came up with 100gb's of blank footage which is confusing because its a 64gb card. Now I don't know much about sd cards but its evident that you can recover files from a formatted card as I was able to recover a photo from like 4 format cycles ago haha. I also contacted a company (KrollOntrack) that advertises data recovery about sending my card in and they said they can evaluate it and see if they can do anything about it.
In short, does anyone have any experience with data recovery or anyone who specializes in it?
