Roommate Needed Starting July 1 / 3 br 2 ba $425 mo +

Hey all!

My long established roommate and I are looking to rent a room in our three bedroom, two bath duplex starting July 1, 2017. The room is an upstairs room with a nice sized closet which shares a full bath with the other upstairs room. There is a ton of storage in this place for all of your outdoor gear, with a large garage and too many closets. We also have an X-box one in the upstairs livingroom with Netflix and a few games if you're into that sort of thing. The house does not have a washer dryer yet, although it has been in discussion.

We are located 2065e, 3110s - just off of 3300s and 2000e in Millcreek. This location is amazingly quick to I-215 (5 min), the canyons (15 min), Sugarhouse (10 min), and downtown (20 min). Rent is $425 a month, plus gas, electric, and cable. Those utilities usually run about $50 or so total.

To give you a better idea of our ideal roommate you must -

Be looking for a year lease. We may negotiate on shorter terms but primarily are looking to fill the space until July 2018.

Be clean. No dishes left in the sink for days. No leftovers in the fridge for weeks on end. Keeps a clean bathroom and doesn't leave piss and shit stains all over the toilet, scrubs out the shower once every couple weeks, etc. Generally be tidy, we are not looking for someone we have to chase behind with a towel and broom constantly. Keep the common area clean and free of dirty clothes or dishes. Although my roommate is less of a neat freak than I, we all share the responsibility of keeping the house clean. This sometimes means doing each others dishes or spontaneously vacuuming, mopping, taking out the trash and recycling without griping about whose mess it is.

Be responsible. Reasonably. We are both in our 30's, professional adults who like to recreate as hard as we work. We don't often party at the house, but usually three or so times a summer and once in the fall we will have a BBQ or other low key but boozy get together. Oh yeah and we 420 every once in awhile (daily).
We cannot cover a late rent on your behalf, which leads to the next:

Be Employed. Consistently. Enough said.

Enjoy the outdoors. We consistently are out on climbing and camping trips on the weekends and often go climbing in the evenings in BCC and LCC. We are both strong 5.10 climbers and push to 5.11+ during a good summer. I work for an outdoor sporting goods chain and mountain bike occasionally. I especially love Southern Utah, Saint George and Zion. We both ski. I'm more freestyle and park influenced and have an epic pass, my roommate is more conservative and skis Solitude. Our ideal roommate would participate in these sports and maybe even want to join in on the activities.

Not be close-minded, a bigot, a racist, or a person of unscrupulous moral character. Neither of us are what you call religious, preferring to align our faith in SCIENCE, however you can believe in whatever voodoo hoodoo you want as long as you aren't preachy or holding services in our basement.
