With revision being a complete bust (again) and vishnu being talked about a lot lately as being one of the newest core brands coming to the market. Do you guys think Vishnu is going to explode over this next coming season and your going to see them everywhere? Or is there a different brand thats gonna fill a lot of the ski scene?

Took my pools out on shitty early season midwest snow yesterday and it was fantastic. My hill didnt have any features set up so me and my friends were just sending rollers as deep as we could and I was honestly a lil surprised at how well they held up at speed. definitely did take a min to get used to the flex tho compared to my ol stiff as hell nordicas

I'm afraid that this conversation is becoming too "core" vs. "corporate". Yeah Vishnu is getting a ton of hype the last few seasons and maybe its deserved maybe not, but if they keep putting out skis and content that people enjoy, and from what I've seen people love their skis, then Vishnu is good for skiing as an activity in general. At the same time these "corporate" big brands have the money and resources now, but they all started as small business once upon a time that grew into what they are today. We, as the skiing community, shouldn't bash or criticize small companies like Vishnu for trying to make it in an industry dominated by bigger established companies. I personally don't have a pair of Vishnus and don't plan on buying a pair, at least in the foreseeable future, but I definitely want them to succeed. Diversity in skiing is only going to help grow the sport we love and companies like Vishnu are helping validate and grow the "new wave" that has become so popular in the community. Freestyle skiing is still a sport on the outskirts of popularity and from the outside looking in something like comp skiing could seem really cool because it just is visually impressive to see people throwing triples and and 630's onto rails. Then there are people in the community who feel like comp skiing is "selling out" and thats a valid opinion too. Either way there is a place for these larger companies in the sport as well as a need for small start ups that get people excited about new styles and ways that you can ski. Long story short core or not new companies like Vishnu are good for skiing as a whole, and we still need the bigger companies to act as an intermediary between our world as free skiers and everyone else.

hey all, gonna drop my two cents in. i bought some fish scales two years ago, the Vishnu dudes were coming off their first full year of selling skis, and I had to have some. M and those guys actually waived a bunch of my price off because I was broke as hell and couldn't get my shit together. then i skied those and sold them, basically still 10/10 even after putting about 50 days on them. Next I bought some green marble ones and never put a day on them because I was kicked out of my house and didn't have enough cash to eat, so i sold them. before that, I bought some pants and a jacket from dylan manley and i bought them right as I was kicked out. He again worked with me so I could eat because again I was broke as hell, and I still have those. there is no hype about these guys. The only company I've ever worked with or interacted with in the past that comes close to them (or the skis) is Kitten Factory. I live in AK, and I've skied blower pow with these, hit cliffs and spines, mini golf, rails, jumps, everything. they are literal rubber bands. i hope they make a wider underfoot ski in the future, i will cop. as for anyone worried about speed on these, i hit 72 coming down a chute run at alyeska and it felt better than anything i've ever ridden that fast on. these guys even congratulated me graduating high school. they're the real deal.

I finally got to ride my v's last weekend and they were a blast! at first i was scared because i was used to a wider park ski, but after a few runs in i adjusted and had a lot of fun. i would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fun buttery rocked park ski, honestly the perfect east coast ski for me so far! Mad respect to they boys at vishnu, they hooked me up with a good price, and they are always quick to respond with any questions i have had etc.
