if we live in such a so called "progressive" world. i find it a bit odd that every single media outlet still has to comment when someone comes out of the closest. hundreds of people just died in Syria yesterday in an attack, and this fucking assholes sexuality gets more press and media coverage than that. food for thought

Its a fair argument you bring up, I heard what happened in Syria and its nothing but a tragedy. However, events in the middle east where violence happens is so common, its like an everday issue there and people in western countries have become almost desensitized to these horrible events. Its unfortunate...

that and almost every large news outlet is posting that the US bombed the living shit out of Syria yesterday. Shit, if you google breaking news, it's quite literally the top story. I'm not sure where you get your news from but I feel like you're less interested in relevant shit because that would require actually thinking for once.

Barry Manilow has been out since he released 'Copacabana'. Maybe he didn't know, but everyone else did ha ha ha

As for the social media thing, yeah, it's fucked; everyone and their grandmother knows who the Kardashians are, and we had a presidential candidate who didn't know what Aleppo is.

There's not much to be said or done. Listen to NPR instead.
