Slow motion should burn a slow death

I hate slow motion. It's fucking dumb and idiotic. Why the fuck would anyone want to post a vid of some guy ripping a million miles an hour, but slowed down? It takes the radness out of media.

This is the one video of slow motion that i approve of

Slow motion is a very important part of cinematography. People realize this but often don't have the skill to execute it proper. This goes for shaky cam and cuts as well.

Slow motion is good for allowing the viewer the time to digest whats going on.

But when I watch a POV in slow motion, I fucking hate it because it removes the sensation of the viewer being in the skiiers boots. 3rd person POV skiing can be boring for the same reason, unless the shot is beautifully framed with nice cinematography.

One example is I would have really enjoyed Candide's pov edits even more if he did away with the slow mo shots every single time he boosted a jump...

I hate slow motion in car videos. I want to see how fast the fucker is flying around the corner and I want to hear the brap brap brap the whole time. If done right slow mo is cool, but people seem to be overdoing it lately.

The slow motion used in the video of Adam Delorme's ridiculous tail butter landing was amazing, but in general i agree with you

Maybe i should've reworded my post. I think slomo has absolutely zero place in action sports. I think it takes away from the wow factor of big lines/waves etc

A lot of the time they blow it with surfing and slow mo. I wanna see how fast a guy blasts through the lip or how fast he had to pump to make a barrel. Half of the time the speed of a turn is what makes it cool, so why would you slow it down?

Exactly man slow mo has no place in surfing. I wanna see some guy wrestle a foam ball and get spat out at real speed
