We have sent out the first round of invitations to those special few who signed up for our awful April Fools joke.

If you missed out, please be patient as we're releasing this app in limited waves as it becomes more and more ready. If you didn't sign up, please sit tight and wait for the sign of the next round of invites to go up.

If you did, then please post up any bugs, feedback, thoughts or whatever else in this thread.

Sweet!! I love it.

So when you click on a push notification it brings you right to it, but then there's still an alert within the app. You have to manually dismiss it.. is there a way to have I think automatically "read" by clicking on the push notification? That would be sick

One small thing that is slightly annoying to me because I like to clear my notifications is when I open the app from a push notification, it goes straight to the thread and post, which is awsome. But it doesn't clear the alert from my navigation bar.

noticed the same thing. When I go to the post from the notification, and then hit the back button, the notification alerts are still there.

patagonialukenoticed the same thing. When I go to the post from the notification, and then hit the back button, the notification alerts are still there.

To the both of you - we know this is an issue, just don't quite yet have a fix.

When I edit a sentence sometimes things get wonky. For example, if I'm xi xingsspelled word in the middle of a sentence, the words next to the cursor will sometimes duplicate. Just like what happened above.

I definitely liked the task bar (threads messages etc) better on the top,* haven't read this thread in a while so someone might have said it already*

I'm curious why? Personally, I like it better at the bottom because that's where it is with most other apps. Facebook, twitter, Instagram, ect all put the menu bar at the bottom of the page. It's easier to reach with thumbs there, too. So I'm wondering what the up-side to it being at the top is? (You're not the first one to mention this, by the way, but no one has really explained their reasoning either).

Makes sense. I was just curious cause, like I said, no one really said why so it kinda seemed like an "I don't like change" complaint as opposed to an actual dislike. I get the convenience with the back button up there. I just feel like it clears up the top a bunch more and is easier to get to at the bottom and it's more along the lines of other apps so it's just what I'm used to. But, being up near the back button does make sense. I mostly don't use the back button anymore or the clearing of the mythreads tab, now that there's a home button I just use that all the time, so I guess that's why it doesn't bother me.

Yeah I think that is pretty cool too. Its more like how the homepage was in 2012, though at that time I think what we were missing was the app. :)

Also - we just pushed out a major fix for the ghost pages issue. Hopefully that solves it.

Chubz.Sooo bad. I remember it used to happen once in a blue moon on like suuuper long threads but now it's like every multi page thread. Super frustrating.


eheathThis is a major problem and we know, a fix will be coming soon, we just have a lot going on right now with programming.


Guys - we just pushed out a big fix for ghost pages. Can you all confirm if you're still seeing them?

Loving the "latest" on the home page. Are you gonna make it a thing where we can tag other members and they get a notification? I'm guessing it will be later on, that's ok :) just seeing if it's on the list

Could the area where we write posts get extended at all? There's a good bit of unused space, may help with writing larger posts

I don't know if this has been said, but when I'm scrolling through the home page and watching videos (on iOS) it would be cool if when you started a new video the previous one would pause. Right now when I play a second video the audio and video on the previous one continues to play. Not a huge deal, but would be nice to have the previous one stop automatically so I can continue to be lazy and not have to scroll back up.

Really enjoying the app. One thing I've noticed on the android version: About 4 days ago I clicked a link to a newschoolers forum post in Google chrome. My phone knew to open the ns app and take me to the right forum page. but now every time I open the app regularly it opens to that post rather than the home.

I have since read articles and looked and posted on other forum pages through the app, but every time I re-open the app I see the same one I opened through chrome... If that makes any sense

Will the app use less data than the mobile site? The mobile site is very data heavy and bloaty.

I can't slide the slider things when I want to review hear and the option to edit my threads has disappeared, but I can still edit quotes and replies???

You were never meant to see the edit post symbol on your posts. That's a mod tool for the mods. So that's why you don't see it anymore.

Check out the new fancy sharing system. It actually uses the phone's sharing system which is far better than the way it was before.

Says the app is not compatible with my devices, have a Moto G4 running android 7 so thought it would be fine and also have an older Samsung tablet too!

In the works.

Also, for those who noticed the "Instagram loop of death" issue, that has been fixed. Click away on instagram links and you'll be good to go.

laura.obermeyerOnly thing that I'd like to be able to do is be able to copy a link, so if I want to send a thread or video or what not to someone, I have no way of accessing the URL- unless I'm just missing it haha

BTW - you can do this now.

Happens to me too. But it used to happen a lot on the browser too so I just assumed it was my phone not the app.



Also just got the push notification for breaking news. I like that, reminds me of ESPN updates. Would love to be able to edit what type of updates I get. Stuff like specific skiiers, comps, etc.

We'll look into the sentence stuff, I've seen that in some other apps too so it might be an OS problem, but we'll look into it.

As for the notification.... yeah that was our first test! The idea here is to make it more like ESPN updates or other news sources where the really hot breaking stuff you can get a notification for like that.

Right now we kept the notifications really simple because we didn't want to over load anything... but over the summer we'll be expanding all the places you can choose to get them. We want to be very careful though about giving a lot of control over your notifications though, so we don't overwhelm you with stuff you don't want.

So anything we add will be configurable.
