eheathOh man, its going to be tough to find something for $100 that fills your needs. TBH a tripod is the one thing you should never skimp on.
Best budge option is a manfrotto 701 kit, probably run you around $300 and it will break within 2-3 years. If you want something that will last you longer, you need to spend much more. I understand this inst an option, so you can do you best with you got, but you just need to understand that cheap tripods won't last you very long.
EatbootyJust went in on a vct vpr1 for $94 off amazon 2 day shipping. Fit the bill with what I needed, gonna great for time lapses because it comes with a remote option. I think it will do for now, Ill be taking a lot of pictures with it from my house. gonna go test it out Friday in Minneapolis for a time lapse
eheathI'm sure it'll be just fine for photos, but videos it will be mediocre.
