Hey guys ive just got a little injury post here,
I was skiing Keystone on Wednesday with 8-10 inches of new snow, got caught up in it, somersaulted and when I got back up I had some pain on the inside of my knee, but continued to ski for the rest of the day. After the day was over, my knee was sore and a little awkward to walk with but nothing I couldnt manage.
After a little bit of research I am almost certain that it is my MCL, but I have no clue what level of tear or injury.
I rested all of Thursday and RICE'd it all day, by thursday night I was up and walking like nothing had ever happened, no pain, no swelling, no awkwardness. I skied today for a few runs, super g turns down groomers felt fine and even a few cautious roller airs were okay but as soon as I took it to the moguls I felt the pain starting to rise.
Went to the Rec center tonight and swam for a little bit hoping to get some different motions in. It felt fine for most of the swim. Now walking around it feels perfect, a tiny bit sore if I think about it.
Will I be able to ski gaper today at Breck tomorrow? Just stay away from moguls? Any advice?
Let me know for some karma,
Thanks guys,
Cole
