Atomic Hawx Prime 130 : How to reduce the flex ?

Take out the top one and see how you like them.

1. Remove liner
2. Loosen top bolt and leave it threaded in by 3-4 threads
3. Push top bolt inward to dislodge the claw nut from the inside of the shell
4. Remove claw nut
5. Remove top bolt
6. Reinstall liner

Do not remove bottom bolt in addition. This must stay in.

Thanks for help. I have done this exactly like explained. But the boot it still hard like a rock. On the snow i cant even flex it forward.
I have also a new pair of Lange RS 130 2017 model. Both boots have flex 130, but the Atomic is much more stiff.
Can i do something else to make these hawx prime 130 more flexible?

Your boot-fitter will be able to cut away certain parts of the shell throat so that it will flex more easily. Standard softening techniques that race boots often need. It's best to do baby steps with softening as you can't add material back to the boot. You can always keep making it softer, but you can't go the other way once it's done.
