COC has been blowing up facebook with posts saying "Want to snowboard with Craig Mcmorris and his brother Mark sigh up now. If you don't you're blowing it."

"Mark McMorris was in a backcountry accident outside of Whistler, Canada on Saturday, March 25th and fractured his jaw, left arm, ruptured his spleen and sustained rib fractures, a collapsed left lung and a pelvis fracture."


People very nicely pointed this out to COC. COC kept posting it 4 ot 5 times total and now deleted all the comments (which would not even the slightest bit dickish)

Also from all I can see, right after the crash was when they first started posting it. Not even a "Good luck mcmorris, hope you're back on your board and shredding with us soon".

It just strikes me as poor taste.

theyre not wrong, mcmorris will be there, just tied to a makeshift hospital bed with a board at the bottom, cheering the campers on

I mean with the olympics being less than a year away, he hopefully will be out and about to train this summer. Did good coming back from the last injury but damn.

I get that they need to sell camp slots but it seems kind of fucked to push it that way right after a severe injury without even knowing for sure if he'll be riding.

I also get not wanting to push people away by mentioning the industry but still. Seems like they're saying "athletes are nothing but a commodity. Git fucked"

I mean Craig himself said mark was doing amazing after his surgeries and would be backup in no time.

I saw that. Still no guarantees on his summer. Also they started posting right after he crashed. Before any surgeries

just from my basic info about the crash and knowledge about medical practices, they probably had him in surgery as soon as he got to the hospital. The burton team doctor even said that the surgeries went well

I mean obviously dude has come back fast from gnarly injuries. Not sayimg he wont be riding there this summer, but its kind of fucked imo. Thats all

yea im not arguing that its fucked that they are arguing it. his recovery time maybe a lot less than you think. That kid is a monster
