Jesse_Recently I've been having days where im not stoked, just super sad and depressed while skiing. I have no idea why and i just let it get to me. When in this mood it just makes for really sad laps and then i resort to basically just spending the day in the chalet and take the early bus home.
Do you guys have days like these, and if you do what do you do to lighten the mood, be happier, etc...?
i definitely know this feeling. are you mostly riding solo? that's been my issue lately. most of the guys i used to ride with regularly have moved away or fallen into the full-time job trap, and i'm finding myself riding solo more and more. I used to love it, but over the years its really become boring and I feel like I never want to push myself when I'm alone
beer helps. someone else made a good point, try to ski areas you usually don't go, and try to change up your skiing style a bit
for me, it's helped to start venturing out into the backcountry. met some new people, gained a lot of knowledge, and it's super rewarding to be on top of a mountain with no one else around. obviously this isn't an option everywhere, but it's something to consider if you have that ability
