DeepskierPond skim tomorrow then our second mountain closes on the 23rd, but got send to flat on a flat 5 in the over vert pipe today fucked my knee, not stoked.
kstanzalthough whistler is getting dumped on right now and we've got some pow days left yet - i am definitely looking forward to some HYPE spring laps! rocking tees, cordoroys, and sunnys. helmet always.
i've yet to experience a pond skim event so that would be a huge item off the bucket list if i can dig it this season.
theabortionatorSpring laps are my fav. That backseat sloppy style surfin around, beer in hand. The land and point for big jump lines, blasting through puddles and trenched out snow that seems to be almost begging to turn to water and flow into summer.
When you come up to that up rail at full speed and at the last second you see how melted out the take off is but somehow make it on. The down rails that are almost laughable heights but you still hit them anyway.
Spring just has a sort of energy to it. The warm breeze, the grass gaps, more puddles than people in the lift line. It's going off but in a way that's ever so casual in in it's excitement.
Even getting a nice ice burn on your arms or some slush down your shirt/pants.
Maybe it's that skiing is almost done. That transition in time is approaching. But something about spring laps.
I love powder and was happy March brought us the deep but man, i love me some fat spring laps.
Park laps, steeps, groomers it's all on point you say "give me winter"i say "give me spring".
