How late will the season go on the East Coast?

I realize this is all weather dependent but I'm gonna try and ski as late as I can this season by making a couple trips to northern Vermont / Upstate NY.

What are your predictions on how late will places like Sugarbush, Mt. Snow, Whiteface, Killington, Big boulder, Hunter etc. will stay open ?

My resort in Western NY ( Holiday Valley) has already projected their closing date as April 9th.
They're really cool with post season hiking, so I usually can extend my season into late April/ early May. Its fun! my friends set up the corrugated tubes they store markers in as rails.

Killington always pushes to be last, a little before June. Various other places will be around that time as well. With the large amount of late season snow, it'll probably come down to people not showing up as a reason to close, not lack of snow.

what i dont get is how Holiday is cool with post season set ups but wont give a shit about the parks during the season

peek n peak closed their parks the week before last so i havent skied for two weeks

Killington is shooting for June 1st - that's what I keep seeing them post

Mount Snow is still looking good on coverage, I overheard someone say April 10th (which was overheard from a park crew manager apparently) but I've gotten no word from any of my bosses about our closing dates there. Just going to pretend its not the end of the season so I dont dwell on it.

I mean I used to work at a resort and there's two reasons you close:

1) Snow melts.
2) People stop coming.

When snow melts in the city, people stop going to the hill and its only the resorts that want to stay open for marketing that do so. That being said, the weather is too crazy to predict this year. I have no idea if its going to melt in the next 5 days or be open until July.

I'd bet $100 that Stowe closes April 23rd. That's the latest they can stay open and I have no doubt they'll still have the snow for it. They have more snow on hill at this date than the last 9 years.

Im guessing Killingotn will have Superstar open till early/mid may or all snow will be gone in a month from the high temps but ya neva know

I feel like Holiday doesn't care about anything. Its astounding how little of a fuck they give about their parks and even passes. I haven't had my pass checked in like a month and a half. In the preseason, the mountain ops guys would ride up on their sleds and watch us ski. They would talk to us and cheer us on. Post season is the same way!

bush closes their main park after this weekend which is a bummer. They have enough snow to stay open for a decent amount of time from what I can tell.

oh fuck, maybe just mashed potato meltdown then lol. 60 isn't worth it when I can't be certain they'll have a great park up when I come. It's also 38$ in tolls round trip from Cleveland
