the dispensary situation in Vancouver isn't really transferable to the rest of the country though, we still have 2/3 that opened last year in my town and I seriously doubt that they're fully legal.

Not sure why you brought up the fact that weed does do harm to people, because 99% of scripts you can get to solve anxiety, depression,eating disorders, painkillers, ect, can become addictive and fuck your entire life up. I've yet to meet someone who smoked some weed, and ended up on the streets solely because of that. With your own argument, you would rather be in prohibition times and not be allowed to do anything self destructive. "The federal government will be in charge of making sure the country's marijuana supply is safe and secure and Ottawa will license producers.

But the provinces will have the right to decide how the marijuana is distributed and sold. Provincial governments will also have the right to set price."
