supersquidWhats up guys, ive been riding my k98's for a bit and I have found them to be a bit to stiff. I have owned the filthy riches and I liked them a lot. So im looking at buying the magnus. But I HATE the magnus graphic which is why I am looking at the option of customizing the magnus with the k98 graphic. Would it be worthwhile to get the k98 and customize it to be softer?? how much softer does the 190z fiberglass and changing the carbon fiber make the k98? Looking at price it would make more sense to use the magnus and just change the topsheet. Does anyone have opinions or have experience with these customization options?
Shoey-SkiI've ridden my brothers k98s for a few runs and I have magnus, (maybe I got a weird pair) but my Magnus are wayyyy stiffer then his k98s, the little time I've spent on the k98s are enough to notice they butter way easier again maybe I accidental got a stiff pair of Magnus or just can't butter right but with my experience his k98 hand flex and ride softer then my magnus'
.lenconMaybe he has ridden his pair more/weighs more than you so his ski is more broken in?
But I mean, I think width does have something to do with butter. I personally thought the K106 buttered easier than the K98. Maybe the extra width up top gave me more to butter on, without being too fat and stiff.
