A Clean Base Is A Fast Base

Skis get dirty! Dirt, pollen, diesel soot, tree pitch, lift grease, etc.
I have found this the best way to clean a base without drying it out.
Hot scraping grease doesn't work. You only mix up wax and grease into the base.
After that the wax won't adhere anymore.

Once you start using Swix Glide Wax Cleaner you will never hot scrape a ski again.
I've been using it for several years now and can tell you it works better than anything.
It is not a wax remover. Not only does it clean the bases, but it also conditions them for better wax absorption and adhesion.
It is the only product that cleans of fluoro's from the base too. This is important as after lots of fluoro's are used the base looses it's ability to absorb wax.

Fast skis are needed for terrain park skiing too. Unless you like to case the jumps hard. In that case slow skis are awesome.

Had a brand new board for the summer. We had a bad week of wind and it blew a ton of dirt onto the slope. My white base was pretty much black. I went out to test a new jump a few days after. Sweet jesus. Ended up giving her a base grind I think.

Next time just use the Glide Wax Cleaner.
I had a grind done and used the Cleaner after the grind before waxing. Check it out.

I didn't have access to anything. There was some cleaner last summer but it went mia.

I've been using it for years now. It will slightly soften the wax. It will not remove the wax in the base.
There is one video done by another person. I'll see if I can find it. Anyway look at my videos above.

Found it. Keep in mind a nordic base is the same as a alpine base as far as HMWPE.
