Living in whistler last year I used my kartel 98's on 95% of the 140+ days. The only reason I wouldn't use them is if it snowed over 1.5 feet of snow. Not cause they couldn't handle it just cause I had Jeffery 114's that were obviously better suited. Kartels were perfect on those days so you could go crush pow in the morning then ski park in the afternoon.
Bassically id say it comes down to what you think you're going to ski more of. If you think you're gonna be in the park/all mountain more I'd say 98's no brainer. but if you think you're gonna ski more pow than anything else go with the 108's. Comes down to where you want better performance, pow performance on the super deep days (which let's be honest we all dream of but don't come that often) or park and all mountain (little to no new snow) days. Also not saying that the 108's can crush it in the park, I just don't have any experience with that wide of a ski in the park.
