hot.pocketBoth skis are going to rip he entire mountain with ease, just comes down to whether you want a cambered or full rocker ski.
PowixoxoSorry for the small bump, but need some quick help on the choice between the Meridian and Kartel 108. A store near me have both of the skis for a good deal, but not really sure which ski to go for. I've read both the reviews on Blister, but didn't really help me more than "I want both skis to try out".
First to say, I'm really a huge fan of ON3P so leaning more towards the Kartels. But i really want to get some custom Grizzlycorns so that's why i thought about picking up the Meridians to test out and also get a custom ON3P ski next season. I have some Jeffrey 122mm and i love them to death, great quality and love the way they ski.
(Thinking about picking up some Kartels 98 / Wrenegades 98 for next season for a new hard pack ski. My knees are shit so not going to hit park that much. But that question for another day)
My skiing is somewhat all rounded, everything from aggressive "high speed" lines, to steep chutes and some playful skiing(some easy tricks like 360 and switch skiing. Again, park is not something i really hang around in). And i will have to ski the occasionally groomer to get around the resort. The terrain is everything from tight trees to open areas. The snow can be fairly unstable so they need to handle everything, wind is a huge bitch in some places....
And of course, just a little worried about using skins on the Meridians because of the tips?
LazerHawkCamber is good. On3p.
ExileHayingI just picked up a pair of demo Kartel 108s and the quality, construction, shape and flex is $$ however they're HEAVY. They make my old mantras seem light. Little bummed by the heft but love everything else about them. I guess I'll have to ski them to give them the real test but I could see myself grabbing meridians instead.
