Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Conor McGregor fight

Ok so Mayweather has officially come out of retirement to box McGregor.

The whole Mayweather/ McGregor thing has been on all over social media forever now, its been kind of annoying but Mayweather has called for a date and McGregor just needs to step up now

Conor has been running his mouth off about Mayweather for almost a year now dropping his name and challenging him to a fight and Mayweather has officially announced that he will fight him in June.

I personally don't really like the UFC, it is a stupid sport but I did watch the last few McGregor fights and they were pretty interesting, but can McGregor box?

Honestly, I think McGregor is going to get his ass kicked, it won't even be close, Mayweather will knock that little bitch down in the first round. Mayweather is a fucking legend, he has more talent in his pinky finger than McGregor has in his entire body.

cornholioDidn't think I would say this but I think mma is the superior sport. Way too many stoppages for "hammer fists", in boxing it seems all you have to do is turn your back and the ref will reset shit


Its the more violent of the sport, both are similar cuz its fighting but way different. Did you see that sissy, they had to call the fight cuz he kept crying to his mommy

Yeah idk. Like I said earlier mcgregor would be fatigued in the later rounds. Mayweathe tagged him with a few good shots in a row but i still didn't see what warranted the stoppage.

As it is the end result dosent look bad on either party. I think that's what they both wanted.

Its cuz he was failing to defend himself, its not like MMA where you can ground in pound and bloody him up. If you can't defend yourself you can't fight. Boxing is literally technical thats why its so hard...

Ya people gotta realize this is all entertainment, most of the shit talking was to hype the fight. The more hype the bigger the payout for the fighters, advertisers, and everyone involved (which is hundred of thousands of business and people).

Right but you only have to defend yourself in certain situations. If you're getting the shit punched out of you turn.your back and the ref will defend you, that's boxing

I mean they were both bad with wrapping up, but it was mainly Connor who was doing it. Floyd what turned his back a couple of times but that was in response to him latching on. Also a lot of the were illegal as well.

In the end though, we all know McGregor is the superior fighter. Let's see Mayweather in the octogon. Whole different outcome.

I wanted to watch it. Was free here on supersport but it was like 6:15 am by the time it actually started. After the saturday night of our winter music fest with the bar closing around 5 that was tough to pull off.

Are you serious? Ill say this, McGregor did a lot better than I thought he would. His stamina lasted a bit longer than i thought and he actually had a few good strikes.

If it went to the next round (or even finished that round) McGregor would have been knocked out.

Yeah they should have let it played out. Both of them wanted that. Even tho he would have been KO or a more justified TKO they should have let it go on.

Ya he would've been put down, Mcgregor was gassed way to fast, and Mayweather took advantage. When you're so tired and getting beat around and can't keep your gloves up then its more of a safety thing. Boxing is the professional/technical of fighting. It isn't street or it isn't like martial arts (MMA). Mcgregor all did this for a money grab, he prolly will make over 75 million off this fight, compared to his biggest purse of 1-3 million in the octagon. It was all a business move, in the end he knew he wasn't going to win.

My entire snapchat was filled with people snapping the fight trying to fit it. Like this fight was extremely predictable. Just cause ya watched the fight doesn't make you a fucking boxing expert now.

Those backwards holds and behind the head shots mcgregor was taking were pretty ridiculous. You could see the ref getting annoyed and even saying multiple times "stop means stop"

Overall though I'd say the fight was entertaining and it was nice the hear mayweather say he owed the fans after the boring fight he had against Manny Pacquiao.

Was a pretty boring fight to me, didn't watch it live but looks like the hype was mostly about money outside the fight itself. Neither really went all out, so people who had analyses that McGregor would end up losing due to it being a drawn out fight were more than correct.

Also some the odds (in many places) for this fight were fucked, last I looked it was 1.16 for Mayweather winning and 4.17 for McGregor, that doesn't seem right.
