Wood_WizardYes absolutely. I highly recommend it, just make sure the candle is not scented......
theabortionatorI use
Mr. Zoggs sex wax
That said no matter what wax you apply, always scrape and brush like a demon!
Base structure is very important for running in wet snow. Never leave wax on the ski and expect it to ski off.[/QUOTEAt mt. hood last summer, All the wax I put on my skis got pulled off by the volcanic ash, so I would just brush and not scrape. What I found worked best, was waxing with blue and a little black wax, scraping, and putting a layer of yellow wax over it.

DominatorJacquesYou must be talking about skiing in cinder filled snow on the melting glacier.
That is a beast of a different color.
Harder wax will be in order. A solid lubricant such as graphite will be good. Fluorocarbon waxes will also help to keep the base clean, but not soft ones. Use a harder wax than normal for the snow or air temps.
Don't use a HF yellow. Use a HF red, or HF blue will be even better.
Either or mixed with Dominator SRB 11 will be the ultimate ticket for summer camp on Mt. Hood.
FKS_HEEL_PIECEOk thanks this helps a lot
