Don't get me wrong I love spy but I've never bought a pair that DOESNT fog up.
Yeah I have. I issues with mine. The goggle itself is solid and the lense change on the doom is awesome. My only complaint is the happy lense does not quite standup against what I consider the industry leader, the Oakley prizm.

Damm autocorrect. I meant to say I have had no issues with mine at all.

i fucking love my spy's hahah. I've bought at least 5 pairs but they're only good for like 2 months. So I feel you. I also had the same problem with crowbars :(

tomPietrowskiWhat issues do you find after 2 months?
Terrible fogging. I had 1 pair start to Fray (sp) on the left side of the strap too but i keep buying spy's because they fit and look good. They just never stop fogging on me once they start no matter what the weather is like.

Honestly sounds like somthing you are doing. We have it in the shop all the time people complaining of goggles fogging and it makes no sense as we use the same products all season and never have issues. The big factor with fogging is not drying out goggles. You need to make sure they are out of the bag and allowed to fully dry. If they get soaked it can be as much as two days to fully dry and if you use before they are fully dry they can fog so easily. May be somthing to try in the future.

I love spy's. I've had a pair of the dooms for three seasons now with absolutely nothing wrong. I have the odd scratch (from hitting a branch tree skiing) but they never fog unless I've got a face mask under them, which I don't do because they would fog. I also have a pair of the fold sunglasses with happy lens, best quality, fit and look I've had.

Spy are the best goggles I've ever had. Super durable. Great fit, great look. And they've only fogged up on me a few times when I hadn't fully dried them out. Lens change is easy too, and I don't even have one of the fancy lens change.
I have a quiver of surfaces so im going to go with that. Haven't got the best customer service as of late but I like how they make really bent skis and the edge to edge rocker on the lab001 is fun as fuck in deep snow. Also the volki revolts I got for 80 bones and a case of modelo have been fun park groomer skis. Also have been digging my orthovox beacon and G3 skins.... end of plug
baitVolkl, Atomic, Oakley, K2 all manufacture a great product, but theyre corporate comanies in it for the money, not the sport.
Ski the East, ON3P, and HG are pushing the sport and rider owned, real ski companies.
This is such a dumb thing to say. All those first brands you mentioned are owned and run by people just as passionate about the sport as those running the smaller brands you mention. Just because a company has been around a long time and has built up it's size and reputation, does not make it any less core then the new startups.

One of the companies I mentioned is K2. K2 is owned by Jarden. So when you buy K2 skis, a good chunk of that money goes to Jarden, who gives a good chunk of it to its ceo; James E Lillie. A tiny bit goes to the Chinese factory worker who pressed the ski and will never ski in his or her life.
Below, James E Lillie and The person who made your K2 skis. Not rider owned, or made.

Ok to start, Jarden does not own K2 anymore, that was two owners ago so well done keeping up to date. The current owner can not be disclosed currently but trust me when I say every single person involved with both K2 and Volkl (as well as line) is a passionate skier. I was at the christmas party this year and honestly it was like a Newschoolers party. Everyone there firstly is there because of a love of snowsports. So saying that the people behind the brand dont care is just absurd. Just becuase a company has a higher owner does not make it less core, it just means they are doing somthing right and are a viable business for someone else to want a part of.

I dont get how being made in china makes a ski company better.

It does not really make it worse though does it either? The Chinese factory is fully owner and operated by the Seattle office so its not just like they ship off designs to some plant in china. Guys from Seattle spend a good amount of time over there. You should see the place too, its insane. Simply having something like that in the states is unfortunately unfeasible with the current climate in the us.
But all prototyping and early development is done in the states its just the mass production required by such a big brand is not possible in the states at a financially viable cost.
