The hard drive of 2012 macbook pro just broke and I was wondering if i should just change my laptop instead of changing the hard drive?
If I change the drive i'll put a ssd in it... suggestions ? That would be my best option.
Currently have a core i7 2.9ghz and 16gb ram
Thanks !!

sounds like you have a solid laptop that had something break. i vote fix it and put that ssd in. also get an external hard drive if you dont already.
another thing is to removed the cd/dvd reader and replace that space with an ssd, and also have the normal hard drive. i remember reading about someone on here doing that

Yeah that was my idea, but, both ssd's ? Maybe like a 256gb ssd and a 1 tb hdd?

MSI gs63VR is an awesome one. It costs about as much as a MacBook with much better performance for the price. It also has a 128gb m.2 nvme ssd which is faster still than just a standard sata III ssde. I'm not quite sure though if it's any faster than the Mac ssd though because I'm pretty sure they used pcie ssd's
