Replying to Broken Plastic on Rossignol FKS 180-Fix without undrilling?
Hi guys. I have a Rossignol FKS 180 with a 115mm brake from the 2015-16 line. I believe it is that year, I ordred them from evo on sale March 2016 and they have the updated graphic (not the tatoo lokking one it just says Rossi, FKS, 180, etc. more simply.)
My problem is that on the back of the plastic heel piece (behind the white forward pressure indicator) there is crack in the plastic. It has not come off yet like some other bindgins I have seen, but there is a substantial crack. I know there have been a few threads on this with pics and people usually say to just buy a new base plate.
I was wondering if I could buy a new basebplate without having to undrill the binding? From what I have heard, undrilling and redrilling weakens the ski so I would like to avoid that at all costs.
If putting a new baseplate on without undrilling is impossible, is there another way to safely fix the plastic piece and make sure the bindings are still good as new. I know some people ski with this broken piece, but I do not want to risk futher damage and would like to solve the issue now.
Thanks for the help.
