Renting an AT setup?

Do any shops out west rent a full AT set up? I was going to buy a used pair of super 7s but after demoing them this weekend decided they were way to playful and I wanted to try something more stiff and charge. I tried out the new head KOLE in a 105mm waist at 180 cm and fell in love. I want to buy them for next year but if I am buying a brand new pair of $700 skis it wouldn't make sense to throw some barons on them. I want to get a full AT set up. Are their any shops out west that demo AT setups? preferably in the salt lake area. I realize their are probably lots of liabilities with them given the non traditional releasing and the inherent danger of snow slides so I thought I would ask. Not looking to do a super long tour just something small to get a feel for it.

Why don't you want to put barons on the Kore's? With their weight I'd think they'd be an awesome touring option.

I can't speak for SLC, but in Fort Collins On the Edge Tuning rents out some touring setups. Last time I was in there they had some Meier's, Fischer Rangers, and Liberty Origins with touring setups for demo. James, the guy that runs the shop, is a great guy and I highly recommend him for demos or tuning/repairs.

If im spending that much on a setup i think i would just go all out. If I really like at which i think i will the barons are gonna come off for a lighter binding within the first year. why not just go straight for a tech binding

Ok gotcha, I was just thinking if you're using it inbounds and backcountry the baron would make more sense, but if you're thinking strictly a touring setup then definitely throw a tech binder on there.

I can't speak for the US, but I've rented a beacon, shovel and probe before in Canada. I've gotten them through the local university's outdoor centre and from MEC.

Dynafit and others make demo versions of their bindings so there's definitely shops that rent that kind of gear. I THINK, 'The Backcountry' in Truckee may rent touring setups.

Also, frame bindings aren't a bad idea if you're trying to charge cliffs or throw down on backcountry kickers and such. They're heavy but more versatile than something like Dynafit radicals, etc. I own some Dynaift radical FT 2.0s and they're great on the ascent, but I don't feel super comfortable hitting cliffs and such with them
