Burton US Open

Obviously a snowboard only contest. Slope is up on Redbull TV.

Anyway mentioning because they went with an interesting course. Broke up the 3 jump line to add a rail feature in the middle.

Some courses will do that as the trail can't handle a 3 jump line, but they usually run a 3 jump line there and have plenty of speed.

They were the first big contest that I can think of to roll with the transition take offs in the slope a few years ago as well. Those have stayed around, even at x this year.


Said rail feature mid jumpline. Also has a pole jam box on skiers right.

The one announcer needs to go though. "I know nothing about snowboarding but my voice sounds cool"

If he thinks he knows a trick he just blurts it out like a child right or wrong. "Omg omg i know something".

Also trying to tell people about snowboarding as if he knows anything. I get it, you need to keep talking but jesus.

In practice a TON of riders were just skipping #4 and dropping from the landing for those rails. Mostly the chicks. It definitely was throwing some people off but I kinda dig it.

Yeah i can see that. I just like the occasional curveball in the slope course. People threw it down on the rails too.
