Resorts open late into summer

Think about tripping around this summer to ski and of course with all the snow I think a. few resorts will stay open for a while. I hear squaw is closing July 5th? So I can only imagine how late mammoth is open, then of course timberline all year so where will be the happening spot and what resorts will be open past the 4th of July?

A-Bay usually stays open into mid-June. Like you said, Cali resorts are saying they'll be open till/through July 4th

Copper and Buttermilk have their parks open into summer, although I think you have to sign up for the camp for those.

Tons of good skiing in CO if you're willing to hike. Indy Pass outside Aspen and Trail Ridge usually open around Memorial Day and offer a whole bunch of easy-access backcountry. You can find very good spring skiing through July, but you definitely have to work for it and take into account avalanche safety.

Pretty sure that Bachelor stays open well through May, maybe into early June.

Squaw said they'll be open till July 4th. Not sure if theyre closing after that or what.
Mammoth said the same thing about July 4th, but I know they'll stay open for longer.

Snowbird stayed open for some time on their last good winter. They stayed open until July something, hoping thats the case cause Ill be home and have some SnowBird tickets.

If anybody is gonna do some summer skiing at Squaw, I have a deal for ya.

Yeah trying to get a job at windells if that doesn't work out im trying to go stay in the woods around june 25th to july 15th or something like that with some friends and just public park army it.

Here is what you should do -

Spend a week or two in Mammoth in early May for some prime slush park laps. Then send it up to Squaw for a week for some prime slush skiing/mountain partying. Then keep going north to Oregon and spend a few days in Bachelor until they close for the season, getting the last of their spring park and partying on closing day. Then keep going and land in Hood for the rest of the summer.

snowbirds sitting at 432" for snowfall this year, they'll definitely push for a mid-june closing day at least if we hit 500.

gonna be fuckin awesome either way, closing weekend last year was a rip.

also the bird closed out the year on the 31st of may last year and that was still considered a below average year, but we were closer to average. utahs sittin really nice right now and any more storm systems rolling thru are basically just extras. and I think Utah gets a good amount of snowfall march-april/may. they just got shit on with like 80" in a week span. keep this shit coming.

Bump

Planning on making the trip from LA to Mammoth this coming weekend. Anyone know what the park is looking like right now? Also looking for suggestions on campsites near the hill

for backcountry just go anywhere with high alpine, like colorados peaks and wyoming, but if you want to ski lift access & park then youll have to go to other places. dont know much about them though.
